I did buy a Canon SX30 over Christmas...I bought from a fellow on another forum who was selling it for his father because it had to many buttons for him...This camera has 35x Wide-Angle (24-840mm) Optical Zoom lens, 2.7-inch Vari-angle LCD and 14.1 Megapixels...

So new years day we went to the Crowsnest Pass to check our place out and visit some friends...I figured that would be a good spot to test the zoom out on the camera...I set the camera on optical zoom only (35X) and took four pictures of the Crowsnest Mountain with no zoom to 35X times zoom...It is an amazing camera for a point and shoot...

Paul, that last bird is a red breasted nuthatch. Kind of a cool little bird. One took after Michele one day in our yard. She called it by another name...lol.

Those of the Lynx are rare. We got a few last Sept of a Lynx swimming the narrows at the south end of Little Bear Lk.
