My dad just got back from Afghanistan a few weeks ago and sent me a few pics. Thought I'd share them, I think they're neat. They really give some perspective and remind me not to take what a great life I have for granted. We are SO fortunate to live where we do. And even more fortunate to live in the great province of Alberta.

Looked out my daughters bedroom window this morning and there was a moose near the barbecue. Last fall I was looking for a moose to put on the barbecue.

I's just a lath attached to some page wire (to support a row of peas) and some grass around it.

Its always cool to see a new bird species. The other day we were at the breakfast table having coffee and looking at a feeder when a big flock of rosy finch descended on the feeder.

I remember hunting in the 402 and seeing all kinds of those birds, now I no what they are called.

I like that bird feeder, have a few of my own out (not as fancy) that attracts mostly chickadee's and blue jays. Oh ya, squirrels too....

Sorry AxeMan if my pictures or comments stirred up any "crap". It was not my intention but I should have realized it was going to happen.

Here is a pic that is interesting to any that have spent hours looking for sheds and then found one on the trail back to the truck about 50 yards from the truck!
