Last fall after my little holiday a week in Jasper I said that I needed a good camera , did some searching and ended up buying a Nikon D3100 Digital SLR and I tell you I don't regret it for a minute . Took some good time getting it figured out and how to dick around with the right settings and what lens to use etc . I got A zoom lens on order that I plan on taking to Kananaskis when I head there in early July for 10 days . Hopefully meet up with a Grizzly and some big ole bull Elk , like we normally do .

But back to the topic at hand I love that speed shutter the setting I have it on takes 5 pictures a second , I ended up with 900 + pictures and walked away with 6 good ones , and about 10 keepers . But I love it . I was out this evening tried to catch up with that storm we had ran into some tornado chasers from Saskatchewan , nothing to active happened just lots of rain and wind and some thunder and lightening .

Here is a few pics from an apartment fire this morning. I hope the little girl that firefighters did cpr on will be ok. The elm trees had to be cut so the ladder could be raised.
The fire occurred on the 7 th floor  of this small apartment building.

Weeman, just noticed your post with the pics.  Were you there?  I am working on ladder 2 tonight with the crew that was on that call and brought thoe people down.  They are still shaken up over the whole thing.  The only positive is that thee should have been 3 more that didn't make it but to the fast thinking and hard work they got them out in time and hope that they make it in the end.  From dispatch times the first crews were in fighting the fire in 15 min.  That's pretty dang good when it was on the 7th and 8th floors!!!  They also stopped the fire from spreading and loosing a couple floors as well.  Good job Edmonton Fire!!!

Those are awesome pictures , I love severe weather , I got some more pictures the other day but not nearly as good as the ones I posted . Canmore sure got rain yikes . You guys in the south be safe .

I was there and watched firefighters trying to bring her back with c.p.r and was standing behind the ladder truck as they transferred her to waiting emts. The video shot by ct was not published due to graphic content and I PROMISED to do the same thing. A tough day for fighter's who worked quite hard.

Here is some pics of the memorial for the little girl and father who passed away in that tragic high rise apartment fire.
The last photo is the small memorial out on hwy 43 near Onoway were two people passed away in that crash.
   May they all R.I.P.
