I joined the passport to the peaks program out of Grande Cache this spring and I'm slowly getting the pages stamped. My sheep hunting partner came up yesterday from Morin Ville and we hiked up to Haydens ridge. We were treated to a beautiful view into the heart of the Willmore.

Apricots are turning really fast now. Days away. Appprricoooots, droool. We're pretty excited as this is only the second year they've produced. We always get buckets of pears and plums, but this is a real treat! (next year we're planting peaches. All the experts told us we could never grow pears or apricots here, either.

I'm in Bow Island. The only real threat to the fruit trees seems to be a late spring frost or extreme wind when they're flowering. The apricots flower really early, and usually the flowers either get blown off or they freeze. I see no reason the pears and plums wouldn't grow over most of the province. The pears taste and look just like a bartlet, but are about half size or a little less. The plums are liquid balls of tasty sugar.

Check out this photo. According to the op on face crack these rods were being fished when lightning hit the water.

I climbed up Mnt Cairn today and got a few pics on the way

There were 2 other groups of ewes and lambs that were on the same hill but I couldn't fit them into the picture

This litttle guy was only 40yrds away

I think these Billies were pretty respectible, not sure how to field judge goats

I took this pick and then my camera battery died
