Kinda kicking myself for not going hunting today since it's so darn nice out, but I really try to avoid hunting on Saturdays....or Fridays. (Wed-Sat area)

Instead I picked up my Dad and went to the farm to finish sighting my new(to me) 338Abolt with a leupold scope/3 dot holdover reticle. Got'er good to go, last 3 shots from 100yds are a ragged hole and I hit my 450yd target both shots(pretty impressed with that reticle). Ready for the last Suffield cow season, will just have to find a cow in the right spot to shoot. After shooting this 338 I'm wishing I would've bought one of these 35yrs ago instead of a 300.

Only problem is that only took an hr or so and it's still pretty darn nice out.

Oh well, supposed to snow next two days and get nasty cold, I'll take wife out on Wed, I figure this cold snap should get things moving along. Some fresh snow would be nice as well.

Guess I'll go putter around in the garage or something.

Good luck on your cow hunt Bruce..

Last shift tonight for me. I will sleep at the rig tonight and head home about 430 in the morning. I am up in FSJ and of course we had had close to 6" of snow last night and today so the roads should be in real nice shape for the long drive home tomorrow.

Then she's a few days of hard core whitetail hunting for me.

Drive safe, woke up here to snow on top of ice, must've had freezing rain first. Forecast for wind and snow, could turn into a 3 day blizzard down here.

Check out, "Blue Ruin'. Starts out slow but stick with it, one of the best movies I've seen in years.

Our Wainwright hunt starts Monday, snowfall warning there today and forecast to be............we'll say, "brisk" temp. wise. Just hope it's not windy.
