Sonny,  The idea is to target "government" military facilities not innocent civilians.  You help protect civilians by destroying those who are attacking them.

Tick tock goes the clock.  Roughly 2 weeks till we head N for moose/deer, when we get back I've got about a week and a half until my doe antelope season, then about a week and a half and it's local deer season.  Once it starts, it'll be busy.
I've already done my antelope spotting but haven't gotten permission as guys are harvesting and the last thing I want to do us bug someone who has the current month to make their yearly income.  No point in spotting local deer, I'll be hunting a honey hole I've hunted for the last 35 years, and quite frankly I know where a nice buck will be bedded opening morning, know where the WT bed during the day, and know where the mulie's can be found at different times of the day.  (not that it's a, "gimme", far from it, but I know where to look.   ;)  )

Meanwhle, ..............tick tock goes the clock.

At least I picked up a little millwork job I didn't really want and we don't really have time for, but while it pressures us for time, it  keeps me from wearing out the grass pacing.  Plus, it'll pay for our gas going/coming N.   :)

Maybe I'll clean the guns and check the tire pressures again, eh?   ::)

Sorry deerman but I don't buy it.

Just like Putin said...maybe the rebels used the gas in an attempt to blame the Asad government.

btw...who are these rebels anyway?...friend or foe? We don't know..

I guess my main beef is that America needs to STOP sticking their nose in the business of other countries. They have done that far to long and it always ended up in a bad way..

That area of the world isn't "fixable", that's how they roll there. Any government that might succeed Assad will likely be the same or worse. Keep in mind there are global interests at work who manipulate these puppet countries to suit themselves in sometimes very convoluted ways, no one really knows the inner workings of the problems there.

I've always been a foot hunter and used to get P'd off at quadders but now that I'm getting up there in age I just can't hike that far anymore...So I bought a used quad today just to cart my old bones around but I have a question for anyone that knows.

Is there a law that says you have to wear a helmet?

I could see wearing one if you're gonna hotdog it and stuff but for just putting down a cutline I don't see the need for one.

They say that those who have something worth protecting with a helmet usually wear one.

And those that like to "hotdog" generally don't wear one but they won't hurt much if they head on a tree.

Decent looking machine sonny..

Personally I don't know of any laws requiring the use of helmets, I know there was talk of it a couple years back but not sure it ever came about.. There is no doubt in my mind that our over bearing and controlling governments will implement it though.

I don't wear one myself,, I just don't travel at speeds when on my machine that I feel it necessary.

Never made it out yet myself and its going to be a while until I can.

Got home from work last Tuesday and we had to head to Lac La Biche on Wen as we had a new arrival to the family..

We have been blessed by our first grandson,, a healthy strapping young hunter goes by the name of Jase,, boy this is going to cost grandpa a pile lol.. Already bought him his first camo outfit..

Now I had to come to Calgary for 4 days of courses,, man I hate the city,, just can't understand how some of y'all can live in these places,, I feel for you guys man I do..

Then when I get back home it's head down ass up in the shop, I have to get it insulated before the cold comes, damn electrician is holding me up.. I have to have the heat in her by at least mid Nov I don't want frost getting under my $18,000.00 cement floor and busting it.

So I don't know when I will get out, sure would be nice to get in a goose shoot before I head back to work on the 22nd.. I should be able to.

I missed this one.

Terry, congrats on the grandson.  :)  That boy has some awesome fishing and hunting to look forward to with Grandpa!

You are bang on about the city.  It sucks big time.  I never did adjust to it....never will.  I will be out of here soon.  I swear city folks need noise to live.  I am the complete opposite.
I think I see a rip in the social fabric, Brother can you spare some ammo?

Hmmm....might have to look at these..

http://www.basspro.com/ATV-TEK-VGrip-Double/product/10212994/

My experience with those types of brackets sonny is not good. I have yet to see any of them stay tight on a machine and the bigger deal for me was always the shacking.. Any of the ones I have seen shake the living crap out of a gun.. I run strictly Koplin boots with the metal ring bracket and that has to be strapped down to keep the bounce out. I think between the boys and I we have ran just about every type of holder there is and we have found these to be the best.

Just my opinion of course..

I might officially be a, "geezer" now.  Jumped out of the tub this morning, realized I had brushed my beard and eyebrows, bud didn't have to brush the hair on my head.   :o
