Well it was a pretty good gun show but like all gun shows 80% of the guns were overpriced while 10% were stupidly overpriced and 10% priced not to bad.

A used Ruger mini 14 for $1100....yeah right lol..new price is $869

One guy had SVT-40'S for $299 and that was a good price.Also seen a Swedish mauser m96 made in 1899 for $375,I should have picked that one up but didn't. $:-\$

Only purchase I made was a box of S&B .45 Colt ammo for $27,to bad they only had one box of the stuff.

Anyways it was fun and atleast it wasn't crowded like the shows at the hanger.

Off work for 9 days...and I'm so bored......said no one ever..lol..

Want to take the boat out with the camper ofcoures..maybe Obed...we'll see.

Got a bear tag and gotta go look for a nice cinnamon..

Always looking for new camping sites in wmu 353...should get my cow moose tag there this year..

Campfire wood...mmm..we have lots but more is always good.lol

One more off for me of my 9 off and it will be my only day of relaxing some what. Going to see the grandkids tomorrow and take my mother out for supper. Then back at er for another 21.. Where are those 14 on 14 off we were promised this summer lol.. Oh well with the state my industry is in I guess I shouldn't complain.

It's all good walleyes,atleast we aren't some poor shmuck working Monday to Friday with only Saturday and sunday off and living in the city..lol

Up in the Fort St John country we just started on a new pad couple days ago. We are adding another 8 wells to the existing wells that were drilled on this pad 2 years ago. Pretty cool site to have the pump jacks going and us drilling in the back. These are long reach high press gas and condensate wells. TVD of 2300m with a horizontal section around 2200m for an average measured depth of 4500m. We just came off of an 8 well pad closer to the Chetwynd country with and average measured depth of 5000m. Those we nice wells, those took us around 25 days to drill and case setting 30 stage frac strings. These will take us around 15 days a well little easier drilling here. On those wells we were on average 8 bits just to get the build section drilled. These will be 2 - 3 bits for the build section.

Made my first trip to The Shootist in St.Albert today.Yes it's a small shop but Ken the owner has a lot of coolstuff there.
Ken seems to be a nice guy and he gave me a pretty good deal on some .38 S&W ammo.Two military pouches each with 35 rounds in them for only $40 and considering how scarce this ammo is that\s a good deal.
I might have to go back and buy a set of wood grips for my Blackhawk,only $25..

So if your in the neighbourhood stop by and check it out.

So I finally got time to check this stuff out and low and behold this is 1941 ammo made by Dominion Cartridge Company.They made ammo from 1876 until 1947 and as you can see by the stamp on the inside of the pouch it says 1941,cool.

I don't really know how common this ammo is but it's going in the safe because no way am I shooting this stuff.

Now then getting back to the Shootist...dude sold me a pair of used wooden grips for my Blackhawk for $25 but they don't fit..grrr.

Buyer beware I guess..

You know walleyes you are correct...the old military stuff does intrigue me...Why?

I don't know....but it gives me pleasure...Not in a sexual way like Nester gets off on naughty pictures but more of a historical way..

My grandpa took an 8mm into the guts on some lonely potato field in Belgium many moons ago...he survived btw..

But...I also like modern guns like my Marlin 1895 big bore...45-70...
