Some interesting stuff for those that care.

For reference a good producing oil/gas well today like the ones we are drilling up in N/E BC in the Montney formation. After drilling down 2000m vertical and 2500m of lateral section and fracking. On average you are looking at a total cost of around 4 mill by the time they are in production if they are lucky will produce maybe 500bbl/ day oil and around 3-4 mill of gas. This well they basicly tapped a hole into it lol. Crazy stuff.

Spent eight days in southern Ontario and it was cool to see Maple trees in fall colours but.

The highlight of my trip was to have a ride in my nephews 1934 Chev coupe.

He picked it up last winter as a bucket of parts (bullet holes included) and it's been a labour of love and money to get it to this stage.

Interior is this winters project but man o man he got the 350 running real well.

The only thing I look for on this one sonny is the year of manufacture. Watch for the last few years of the Marlin JM's and the first run Remlins.(sorry don't have the SN handy) Anything made in the 70's and 80's and maybe the 90's in the JM's should be ok. 2000's and up until say around 2013 watch for. Fit and finish metal to wood, crooked sights and a few bent barrels. Not saying you can't get an ok production gun is these years, but look it over. This is when they had Mickey and Goofy running old worn out Marlin equipment. After 2013 they seem good, new equipment and trained people. If it's a good one, you'll love it. After all it is a leaver.

Another interest video clip sonny, hard to believe it was really not that long ago, our fathers time and a huge part of our lives also. Look what we have done in 75 years. Hope it's for the better.

Unfortunately I think it's going to take another major one to get things in line in this world. This is the longest man has went with out a major in modern times and it shows.

Just my opinion but the way things are going we will see another one of these but only with modern weapons.

The ‘RED PHONE’

Rachel Notley, Queen Elizabeth, and Vladimir Putin all die and go to hell.

While there, they spy a red phone and ask what the phone is for.

The devil tells them it is for calling back to Earth.

Putin calls Russia and talks for 5 minutes. When he was finished the devil
informs him that the cost is a million dollars, so Putin writes him a cheque..

Next Queen Elizabeth calls England and talks for 30 minutes. When she's
finished the devil informs her that cost is 6 million dollars, so Queen
Elizabeth writes him a cheque.

Finally Rachel Notley gets her turn and talks for 4 hours. When she's
finished, the devil informed her that there would be no charge and feel free
to call Alberta anytime.

Putin goes ballistic and asks the devil why Rachel Notley got to call
Alberta free. The devil replied, "Since Rachel Notley became Premier
of Alberta, the province has gone to hell, so it's a local call."

The Mosin Nagant is a pretty heavy rifle. Especially in the hands of a smaller woman.

I remember checking out some "in crated scoped versions" at the old Phoenix gun shop with the late Stan Beaumont and Ted Zimmerman. I figured only a 200 pound Ba Ba was shooting those heavy rifles.
