Good question Sonny. I wouldn't bet on it lasting very long. I may be wrong there may be some good type of acid wash / etching product out there but still I'm not sure how well paint would adhere to the siding.

Maybe next summer I'll try a small test area on the backside and if it works then cool.

If not then it looks like we'll be replaceing the sideing.
