Some of the best folks I know are from Ontario. They are the ones that never went back home when things got bad in Alberta at different times over the years.

And I will leave it at that.

Sonny.

What's the story about that Grizz running around your neighborhood?  Is it dining at the McDonalds and L&W dumpsters?

Kind of wondering.

I haven't heard any updates so hopefully the grizz just wandered off back to where he came from.

This would be good for he bear and the folks in town. If I hear any news I'll post it here.

From the Hinton Voice (local paper)

Fish and Wildlife warn about two grizzlies in town

Fish and wildlife is advising that two younger grizzly bears have been seen frequently over the past two weeks near Hinton and south along highway 40.

Although fish and wildlife staff are monitoring the bears movements they are seeking assistance from the public to ensure that these two young bears do not access any unnatural food sources.

These bears movements over the past few days have included sighting in Seabolt Estates, the Hinton Golf Course and near Joachim street as of tonight. As the bears remain on the move as a pair we hope that they will continue their travels outside of our community.

Please ensure all garbage receptacles are stored out of easy reach and that sightings be reported through the fish and wildlife report a poacher line at 18006423800

Both these bears have spent considerable time in Jasper National Park and they appear very relaxed around settled areas with human presence. No aggressive tendencies have been identified or suggested in any of the reported sightings

It’s only going to get worse in the coming years with the hunting ban in place. These animals will lose their fear for humans and start to regard them as an opportunity.

No worries they show, “no aggressive tendencies “ ok, so where good. Until someone pisses them off or gets in the way of a restaurant grease container. I’m thinking some people have forgotten the “ bear necessities of live”.

Right on LeverAction:

Why should Yogi and Boo Boo eat roots and chase marmots when they can dine at the L&W?

I wonder if those bears are radio collared. Does not matter. Don't mess with those Hinton boys. That is one town any bear should be very careful of wandering around in.

Here are the perpetrators.
A couple of juveniles.
Looks like at least the one has a ear tag.
They gave zero f's about a pickup with two dogs losing there minds.

Up until today the only powder I used was Jim Shockey's Yukon Gold but today I was trying some Goex powder.

This Goex stuff might burn better and it might pack just a little more of a punch but good grief is it ever dirty and stinky. After four or five shots I'd have to scrub the bore as it was getting hard to ram the ball down.
Best group was about 2.5 inches at 50 yards with 60gr of ffg. I tried 80 grs but seen no improvement so I think that was just a waste of powder. I'm still dinking around with loads and patches to see what works best for me

btw... I was just shooting round balls .54 cal
