Repsol?
« on: July 25, 2018, 09:59:11 PM »
I have been toying with the idea of maybe trying to go back to field production operating.
I have been out of the game for north of a decade now so finding someone to give me a shot is another thing.
Apparently you need to be a power engineer all of a sudden at many places now for some reason?
But I noticed Repsol has a ad for a position in my area.
Just wondering if anyone works for or has any info on the stability of this company?
I don't want to risk a potential move to a inevitable lay off in the near future being as they are relatively new on the scene here from what I understand.
Thanks

Never heard of them Hammer but regardless of whom they are if you could get on it would be a foot back in the door.

I worked for a lot of different oilfield companies through a contractor but never Repsol, can't tell you much other than they either bought a lot of Talisman stuff in my area or it was a name change similar to what Penn West did as "Obsidian".
I hope you can get your foot in the door but as as I'm sure you know sometimes these job postings are more of a formality than anything.  Imho they might know exactly who they are goin to hire but it never hurts to try.  I know of a couple of guys that got hired on because their resumes and interviews went exceptionally good.
