nice pics skinny.  lots of growth on them elk already eh?  i saw bulls still wearing antlers just a couple weeks ago.  is it just me or does that goat kid look pretty scrawny for a yearling?  im no goat expert by any means, but i thought they should be bigger at a year old?

That's not what the eagle was thinking that soared over the ridge and right over top of the pair. There was some tension in the midst then and the nanny was quick to cover her treasure. Never would have predicted such an extreme response though I have heard of the predation of young goats by eagles.

Nice pics.  Was chasing turkeys on the weekend in BC and seen 6 elk with hard horn still and probably another 20 in velvet.  Seems a little late but They must have had a great winter.

check on youtube, there is video of eagles chasing goats up there.  that last pic really shows the hair on them.  i think thats the real trophy on them things more than the little horns.  i cant wait to get one of them for the wall.

I couldn't agree more. Even though the goat that I recently received back from the taxidermist doesn't sport the largest horns, it is a masterpiece in my mind based largely on the uniqueness of the fur:

Marco at Sugar Creek in Red Deer did the mount.

Since I'm lazy here is a link at the "other" site of the trip events:

Sorry bud but I can't even look at that page.  I am not allowed in at all.  It goes straight to my banning page.  I will have to check it out on my other computers.  I can get in on there 8)

Not sure about that Darcy.  I click on the link or go into AO any way and it goes directly to a banned page.  Got through on my other computer just fine.  Sounds like a great goat hunt.  Congrats again Skinny

Phil clean our you cache memory and it will let you on.  You have it saved so you would automatically log in entering the AO forum.   Trust me.  It was the same on my I phone.

Exactly, then you can all be official lurkers  ;D ;D

Thanks Sheepguide.  I will try to see if I can find my cache.  I'm not a computer guy so it is all new to me.
