Yes been following it, always do.

Jones fan here but she didn’t even qualify this year. So we’ll go with AB this year.

Was also watching the world jr’s this week, they weren’t on tv but were pod cast. The skip for this years team Canada is a cousin to my wife, they made it to the gold medal game against Russia. They played yesterday, she ended up taking home the Silver. They played well but Selena the skip missed some key shots and cost them the game. She’ll be a name to keep an eye on in coming years.

It is good to see young curlers still having an interest in the game. The team from Quebec was a young team.  It is also good to see the teams from the North West Territories and the Yukon
getting better year by year.  The northern teams have a problem with expensive air fare to allow them to come south to play against other established teams and gain lots of experience.

Carey’s not off to a great start.

I find it hard to cheer for her to be honest lol, she’s not an Albertan anyways she is from Manitoba and curled their her entire career she only jumped ship here what 3 years back I believe. To be honest I’d just as soon see Homan win.

My understanding is that they are used to time the rock to see how long it takes to get from hog line to hog line.  Some use a stop watch for the same thing. But having never seen one I could be wrong.

Good game, good come back by AB.

Yes they are stop watches the sweepers have them on their brooms so they aren’t swinging off their hips like the ones the skips wear.

Crazy game.  What a comeback!  Old Russ Howard will be crying tonight over his Ontario idol Homan.
He never said a word after her draw came up short, especially after continually pumping her new draw game all week.

I enjoy how those young ladies swing those brooms. Just look at the dedication on their faces. I wish a geezer like me could swing a broom as good those kids do.
