Crappy news but good that it's not the worst case scenario.  Hope that the healing process goes as smoothe as possible and the sheep have him to worry about again this season.

Thanks for the well wishes!! So a quick upate. 2 broken vertebrae, 6 broken ribs, 1 collapsed lung and sno lung with alot of bleeding around it.

Had 2 chest tubes. One of which is now out. Once I stable more I will be fitted for for a clam brace for my back which I'll wear for 3 months

Be careful with that back Darcy I broke my back before.  Messed me up for a long time and it still is not right.  Do all the exercises they tell you to.  Don’t lift anything heavier than a fork your dink or a beer can until they tell you.

Get well soon Darcy! Like Jimmy said make sure you do as ordered by the doc. Ill be home in a week if your still cooped up in the hospital by then and could use a visit let me know, I could bring you some magazines or something.
Sorry I don't ice fish or hunt rabbits, but I did stay at a Holliday in express last night.

Sucks to hear Darcy.  I hope the sheep hunting doesn't get limited in the future because of lingering back and body issues.  Sucks to hear but with what you had your lucky to be alive!!

Sounds rough, good to know they have tech to fix this right but 3 months might be a little challenging. Upside you'll get to hang out with the family, being full time supervisor might get a little old.

Take care, listen to your doc and get psyched for the physio, most important part will be the physio.

Now i'll have to make sure i have my STARS lottery tickets.

Take care!

The toughest part is still ahead of you, but if you can walk all over mountains for "fun" you should have no problem bearing down and getting through the physio.

Good luck Darcy, go get 'em!
