Slave Lake Fire Pics - My buddy Kevin's Place
« on: June 28, 2011, 10:54:46 PM »
I snapped a bunch of pictures of my friend Kevin's place that he lost in the fire that swept through Canyon Creek.  He lost everything at his place, and was ok, and is slowly putting all the pieces back together to rebuild and keep on going.  His House, boat, shop, motorcycles, and many other things were lost, and I took pics from angles that I thought would capture the destruction.  I have never taken pictures of fire debris before, and everywhere there were things that I found to shoot at different angles.  I took pics of things where they lay, and tried to capture the mood of his property.

The engine from his boat, and the prop.  A 300 Mercury Verado, and engine pieces laying all over with melted metal all over the stainless prop.

A torched Harley Fat Boy

Kevin's old landing net

The yoke on the top of the fat boy.  It looks like a face to me.

Wow....It must be tough for your friend seeing the remnants of what used to be his possessions…
Treat each day as your last; one day you will be right.
