« on: June 28, 2017, 12:45:45 AM »
Ever get it?

I did once and it scared the bejebus out of me.  :o

I felt this weight on my chest and I couldn't move..for real.My arms were being pinned down too.

I also heard this noise which kinda sounded like a cat's purring in my ear..

And then...budda bing it was gone just like that!

I sure as s**t don't want that again..but it's true...it could happen to you. :o

The guy on that Coast to Coast radio show says your condition is due to some "Sea Hag" spirit jumping on your chest. :) ;).

I suffered from a version of the  same condition from about 13 to early 20 s .
I just couldn't get out of bed . It was finally diagnosed as a rare condition .
Analoccularitis .....I just couldn't see my lazy ass getting out the door .
Thank goodness the old man came up with a cure ! 😂

Mountain Hag.

I think you are on to something Sonny.

I have met some Parks Canada staff over the years that could qualify for Mountain Hags. ;)

I used to suffer a similar thing back in my drinking days. The brain was willing the body not so much.

Now it's the other way around. Who needs the old man to get you out of bed, when your bladder gets you up 4 times a night and first thing in the morning.  :-[

Must have been very disturbing.

Fact is we all have it every time we dream. I believe the thinking is that it's a safety mechanism to stop you from acting out your dreams and hurting yourself. Usually passes before you become conscious again.

Hmm, so this is a defense mechanism against sleepwalking then?
