slow leaks in tires
« on: May 16, 2016, 05:49:20 PM »
I find any time I run over a nail and get a flat tire that sometimes after I have had it fixed that it has a slow leak. I have tried patches, plugs and plug patches. Anyone have the same experience or have found a better way to get a flat tire repaired.

A proper patch should hold as well as anything. I guess going forward you could go with a tube installed.

I have had great luck with tire sealer from Canadian Tire. $9 will fix a flat and seal slow leaks.

Don't put tire sealer in a tire you expect to get fixed. Most places these days will throw the tire out when it gets to them if it's got tire sealer in it. Just something to think about.
