Sour Grapes
« on: February 02, 2013, 09:00:50 PM »
I used to get a little entertainment watching Don Cherry on Hockey night in Canada.  I did not agree with a lot of what he said but it was "interesting" listening to him.  But he has sure gone down hill and most of the time now he just babbles on.

Time for them to get someone with some intelligent hockey comments on COACHES CONNER.

I gave up on hockey due to the greed so if cherry has dementia I wouldn't know but if he's losing it I agree he maybe needs to be replaced by Justin C.

Don Cherry is old school and calls a spade a spade. He gets in trouble for it at times but I like his style. He does come across as ignorant (or uneducated) but I personally believe his knowledge of hockey is superb.
Whatever the case he made a million bucks doing what he does and I can't imagine 'Coaches Corner' without him.

Don dresses like a clown and then criticizes players who don't wear a tie and suit jacket "like a real hockey player should!!!"

The other night his hockey sense prompted him to hypothesize that Calgary were in last place because they had not had a fight yet.

It is nice to hear a good hockey annalist pointing out some aspects of the game.  And then there is Don being Don the entertainer.

Would be nice to see him hang in there for a little while longer but I have the feeling he will slip up sooner or later.
