Spring Time - Antler Sheds
« on: March 23, 2017, 07:38:21 AM »
Anybody finding many sheds yet.  We found this one at the farm last week:

I think I see a rip in the social fabric, Brother can you spare some ammo?

This mulie I got a trail cam pic of last fall is still carrying now.  He is hanging around our farm.  I will look for his sheds and hopefully find them in a week or two.
Maybe I will try to put an arrow in him this fall.

Found an old WT warrior's shed that had obviously regressed early in January sled scouting my go to Northern Wmu. Just did 170 km's on sleds last sunday in same zone, not one shed, not one sighting of a moose or deer. Still hurting. Havent really hunted this zone for 2 yrs now. Looks like it will be 3.

Put many km's between Fox Creek and Whitecourt too, not one shed. May go to the Goose tower this weekend for one last rip in the crown land. See what we find there. Harder to find sheds on cut lines unless a sled kicks one up or your last and the others ahead of you knock the snow around it down.

That's a beauty Mule Deer buck Axeman. Big body.

Too much snow around our place yet, especially after this past week. I will have some extra time off this spring so I'm looking forward to getting out and spending some much needed time out in the bush and doing some shed hunting.

Lots of snow here also. I am starting to see a bit of ground though. I have the best luck finding Sheds when I'm sitting on my horse, checking the fence lines.
