Studded tire question..

So on my Ranger I run studded tires all the way around and love them.

Wifey has a Sunfire which is front wheel drive and I'd like to put two studded tires on the front wheels only.After all they are the ones that do all the work and the back tires (all seasons) just come along for the ride BUT...

Some guys tell me that it's not good to mix tires like that and that I should go studded on all four tires.

Others tell me that studded on the front only is the way to go.

Ok so now I'm confused a bit.........Thoughts on this??

I was always told best tires go on the back regardless of front or rear wheel drive.  The tire shop would be the advice I follow.  I would also ask does she have life insurance? if so summer tires should be good to go!

lol...yeah I've got insurance on her but I'd like to keep her around for a bit yet because she treats me well.
