Interesting points of view marmot I enjoyed the read.

Personely I am not a fence sitter. I take a stance left or right, I don't believe in being wishy, washy ,it's white or its black, it's right or it's wrong it's that simple. Am I a redneck, christian, conservative,, you bet and proud of it. I believe in God and country ran by the people not big government. I believe in freedom of all expressions not just a chosen elite few. As such I respect your point of view. I am going to go out on a limb here and please don't take this in a bad way and get mad, or think I am talking about you, but I don't have a lot of respect for people that are fence sitters. It's easy to just say I love everyone and be a fan of everything. It's more difficult to take a stance and stand up for ones beliefs. It's easy to cherry pic and say I like this about this party and that about that party but one as to look at the bigger picture, take a stand and back a party through some good times and some difficult tomes. We have to look at the big picture and the morals and beliefs of said party and decide who we are behind. I would die for it and never back a liberal candidate,,, never !!

I can definitely see you and I having some interesting conversations and that's awesome looking foreword to it.

Interesting stuff, I love it.

Good response. Was kind of wondering what label applies to him. Fence sitter is close to what I was thinking. If you are going to call groups names, you should think about what those people are going to label you.

Here is a prime example of why I hate Liberals and their line of thinking.

Oh by the way I am a huge Harper fan.. Best thing to happen to this country since independence itself. The man would do a lot more for us if it wasn't for keeping the lefties happy.

Interesting indeed... once again we wander off topic and the thread becomes about me.
Maybe we should just start another thread? :)

I also find it interesting that what you call fence sitting I also thought of as quite the opposite.

My thought is that placing principles before partisanship is a symptom of what we are lacking in this country... true and honest leadership.

Funny how the same thing can be interpreted differently by people especially when the media gets involved.

Oh well... no hard feelings.

So true.

When I think of people that stick with the herd no matter what...that follow the bum in front of them and reject the idea that they should perhaps choose their own path from tiome to time... the word lemmings comes to mind.... not that I am refering to anyone here.

I would never be so quick to judge people here based upon a few words and no actual knowledge of them.

Blogs seldom flatter those who write in them.

I am not a Liberal fan myself although not everything left of center is without merit.

I used to be a Harper fan... when he was in opposition.
The man was inspiring... I believed him.

Problem is... I remember Mr Harper in the 1990's and he seems to have forgotten himself.
What he said then is not what he is saying or doing now.

Personnaly I think he is the worst thing to happen since PET... not that his competition would have done better.

Hopefully he retires and the party re-sets itself and starts placing Canadians before the party again.

Lord knows the other partys aren't up to it.

Night. :)

In the end marmot I am sure we a more a like and would agree on more things than what it looks clike in our posts.

Again I was not necessarily speaking about you in particular in my posts but just generalizing on some thoughts.

From what I gather your not exactlay a fan of anything government in general and that's fine I really have no problem with that lol..

Again,, I enjoy the dialogue and respect the fact we are all aloud a point of view in our free country.

Like I said if we didn't have to keep the lefties happy in this country I am sure Harper would keep a lot more of those promises and ideals he had years ago. But ones hands are tied in a lot of cases.

I think some excuses run pretty thin when you have a majority and.... when you do 180's on things like omnibus bills.

But.... all that is another discussion.... :)

I am disappointed the SNN went away, it was so refreshing to see some Alberta style thinking on a news program, maybe I am a redneck, but it worked for me.

If I was running the country...

The CBC would be cut off and die a cold death, I am not sentimental or patriotic enough to keep feeding it cash.

The RCMP would be disbanded and all the bureaucratic arseholes running it would be looking for work, policing would be done locally without federal influence. Cops would be held accountable when they kick peoples $2000 doors in and steal their guns.

Allison Redford would be in jail.

I would open up all lakes in Alberta to 1 walleye possession on a slot size.

I would kibosh the supplemental anterless deer tags, and I would require anyone taking up residence here to prove 5 years of living here before they could buy a hunting license. Maybe 10...

I would set up a federal ice fishing day.

But then we're talking about a perfect world...
