She started with talking about how great a job they did at balancing the budget, just after borrowing billions more into the red in the latest budget.

Well, the Auditor General's damning report is out now, the crooks are squirming again.

Run away Alison, but spare us your comments telling us how much good you did and how your values are so "incredibly principled".
Her MLA resignation letter was just a last pompous and conceited slap in the face to Albertans.  This was her response to potentially criminal behavior being referred to the RCMP for criminal investigation now.
Sickening to read that letter by her, asswipe at best.

Today, another disgusting pathetic crook, Doug Horner (finance minister) weighed in on a press conference to Albertans.  He spoke very unapologetically to Albertans accepting absolutely zero responsibility for the facts detailed in the Auditors Generals report detailing the PC governments expense scandal.  His terminology only included verbiage such as "looking forward" and "past oversights".
He was indeed questioned in Parliament by the opposition about the Grande Prairie flight to a PC Party fundraiser function shortly after it happened.  Horner along with Hancock, Denis, and Horne all LIED defending it at the time.  This trip is now condemned in the Auditor General report.

Horner is rejecting calls for him to resign in the face of the damning report and proven lies in Parliament.  He is admittedly responsible for government travel expenses and policy relating to that through his office.  Policy in regards to travel was set recently in 2010 as detailed by the Auditor General and the Redford office criminally trampled on that in the face of Doug Horner who now accepts zero responsibility for it.  He is either blind or incompetent or both which requires his immediate resignation.  All the Cabinet Ministers will hide behind the statement that the Auditor General referred to.  The "Aura of Power" around Premier Redford.  While she was fleecing us, they were all too scared to call her out.  Bunch of pathetic ass-kissing cowards (all of them) in my opinion.  Hugs and kisses were the order of the day from these Cabinet cowards while she held power.  Now she is gone they can't throw her under the bus fast enough, right Mr. Thomas Lukaszuk!  IMHO you look like a complete fool.

How can individuals be so pathetic is beyond me.  Hopefully, all their scripted schemes will backfire again and Albertans will make them pay.  Only problem is Alberta is infested with people who don't think like I do.  I was born here and feel like a minority in my own province.

Watched the news purely for the entertainment value tonight, sort of like watching rats at a Sask. dump when you turn on the headlights.  (or should I say a S. African dump?  (redford applied for citizenship there in '95))

Saw a brief interview with the pc (I believe it was) campaign manager.  The attitude was as you'd expect.  To paraphrase the attitude:  There's no need for any criminal investigation, after all, she's lost her political career which is in itself more punishment than she deserves, this matter should all just be forgotten like it never happened.

I suspect the more the pc's are investigated the more headline's we'll see.  I've never heard of an org. where the leader's a crook and everyone under the leader is squeaky clean.

And I agree with Axeman's last paragraph as well.

In any case we should enjoy her fall while we can as it won't be long the Real bills will start showing up.

And Mr. Prentice, the only desperate hope to save the PC party is pinning his support behind the only person that I honestly believe is a bigger crook than Alison Redford.

That person is Mr. Stephen Mandel who has ensured Edmonton's debt for generations to come while padding his and Daryl Katz's futures.
That is all I need to know about this Prentice fella.....fail!  Fiscal conservative...BS...he and Mandel are first class liberals just like Alison.

Prentice said he's been politely encouraging former Edmonton Mayor Stephen Mandel — who's endorsing Prentice — to consider running for the party, but noted that no one can ask Mandel to give more than he already has to the public.

"I would be honoured if he would come back. I hope he'll consider it, but that's a personal choice he will make," Prentice said.

She was flying in a private jet all over the countryside. Where was Danielle Smith, in there getting her hands dirty and working right alongside of Albertans. Don't forget that!!!

You guys know that I am a hard core conservative and I love the Wild Rose and the change they would bring to our province but I will say I just don't like Danielle Smith I just don't find her a leader. Female members please forgive me but,, I am old school and I find it hard to accept a women leader they have to be extra strong and I just don't see that in her. She is just a whiner and a sniveler that's the way I see her. The WR has to look at another leader before they can expect to be taken seriously.

Alberta is a very complex province with huge, huge dollars at stake here,, we need the right business people in place to run it. There is more to it than just paying off the bills,, bills are bills they will always be there but we need to keep our industry robust and we need someone that is respected by the rest of the world to run that. Personal at this time I think a Jim is the best to do that. Could you honestly see Danielle in China negotiating deals or in Washington .. Not me. She may be good on a provincial level but Alberta is way more than that.

It looks like Prentice has his own clown-Bozo Mandel to do his bidding.  Lieberal, money spending fool, under the guise of "Progressive Conversative."  I guess that he is, as defined by our last premier, one of the "progressives".  I agree with you Walleyes that Alberta is a complex province.  With all of the money at stake, now an ex-banker and reputedly an astute businessman, why would Prentice consider Mandel for any position, knowing his history of leveraged financing of everything that he touched in Edmonton.

Surely at this point the AB pc's are akin to a leper in a cathouse.  I doubt their mothers would even vote for them. 

The only honorably thing to do a this point is call an election and let the people decide.  The sooner that happens the sooner the pc's can go the way of the social credit and whoever has the next kick at the can will be able to get a REAL look at the books, see the TRUE amount of damage the pc's have done to our finances and put us back on the road to recovery and reality.

Make no mistake, there's going to be a lot more come out, eventually;  but personally I don't think that'll happen until we get an entirely different party in power.

Once that happens I'll be pushing as hard as I can for a judicial inquiry into the sacking of High River as well.  That'll be the only way the truth comes out, and if we value the freedom of our future heirs, we can never let this assault go unpunished.
