Walleyes, your type of hunting is different as well.  You don't do the backpack mountain sheep hunt type thing and a small stove like Sheepguide has is a must.  I use a whisperlite myself with white gas.  One canister last at least 4 days and in a pinch lighting a fire in the mountains I use the stove to get the fire started.  The wood in the mountains seems to keep wet and can be hard to light at times.

Jetboil = Cats meow.

I have used a few different stoves now, but the fact that the stove fits inside the cup with a canister and has a extra cup on the bottom makes it easily the best 14oz package for cooking I know of.

I was skeptical till I went on a 8 day trip with some buddies and they insisted i get one before we go. One of the best recommendations I have received.

A couple more pics I like from the mountains to keep this thread going,

Goofing around a bit!

Highcountry moose hunt.

Late season sheep hunting.

Where I live to be!

Power of the mountains, a supercub!

Most renouned sheephunter I guided. As seen in the book Greatrams II,  jebus Guinterez. I beleive the ram he got with me was his 14th North American ram.

A sheep hunters favorite tool. Nothing beats the Swaro!
I hunt sheep to see over the next mountain not to measure the next trophy!

Ya that is Turret Ridge in the back ground.  Never been up into the Black hole myself.  i usually go a fair bit in past it.  I hear there are a few sheep that hang out in the black hole area and always wanted to check it out.  Have you killed a ram yet?

Nope haven't got an illusive ram yet, but those pics were taken when i was searching for a sheep.  The guys i was with were mainly up there for elk so we didn't spend much time sheep hunting.  Wish i would have had a goat draw for there bucause there was about 15 of them just up the ridge from where those pics were taken.

     Here's some pics from last year.  Went on a solo trip for a few days, still trying to get my first one.  Found a few rams on the second day but they ended up giving me the slip the next morning due to a bad stalk.  Hard lesson learned but a good one.
