Upgraded The Quad.
« on: September 19, 2013, 06:35:50 PM »
Well after 11 years and just about 7000km and not easy km's I might add I updated my baby. Went with a 2013, 500, Foreman EFI with power steering, nice machine. I would expect to get more than 11 years out of this one as I seem to be quading less than I did a few years ago so should get 15 out of this one,, maybe more. Honda has a pretty good sale on right now add that with my commercial discount,, (bought it through my company) and I couldn't pass it up. I paid $7100.00 for my 450 Foreman in 03 and still got $2500.00 for it. If you do the math that old girl cost me $418.00 a year to own it. With my trade in and after I get my GST back I walked out of there with a brand new machine rigged with 3000lbs winch, hand and thumb warmers, new Bear Claw tires on the back, back foot pegs and new Gun Boot and bracket for $6800.00.

When I showed up at the dealer with my quad that's the only time that machine was back there for anything since it was bought  11 years ago,, and I mean the first time,, good old Honda..

Nice and good deal.  Gotta love those solid rear axle machines with a real transmission.  Reliability, no extra maintenance, and they can haul a load without squatting.
I think I see a rip in the social fabric, Brother can you spare some ammo?

No harm jimmy,, I figured it was just a slight on some of the conversations that have taken place on these sights.. I just wanted to make sure that any new folks knew that's not common practice by most responsible outdoors people.. No harm man..
