How many of you would of let this individual walk out of that greyhound bus alive? I know if i were a RCMP involved that evening, it is very unlikely he would of walked out of that bus alive!!!  Your thoughts......

Yah,, I don't know about this one. I know where you are coming from and I have said the same thing many times myself, but I think its easier said than done. If one of those officers lives would have been in immediate danger or someone else in the bus I am sure they would not have hesitated and taken him out, but as I recall the story such was not the case. To just stand there and shoot a guy that is at the moment not causing you imminent danger would be difficult. I would like to think that to any of us,, taking a human life would be only done as an absolute last resort.

I know this is leading us off but,, I have often thought about catching a break and enter around my place. If the individual's posed an imminent danger to myself or family and were hostile,, I do believe I would be able to take them out but I do know if they were merely stealing my possessions I could not shoot them,, beat them and break a couple fingers yes but not shoot them. A humans life is worth more than any piece of equipment or toy,, regardless of how useless we think that human life is..

It's scary to think this guy may soon be among us.

Who ever the jackass is making the decisions to let this guy out unescorted should be held responsible the next time he kills.

My thoughts are very simple on this.  Tim McLean was stabbed, beheaded and cannibalized by this wack job.  That wack job said he thought he was attacking an alien.
Don't really care about his mental state or whether he could be cured or not or what some other half wacko psychiatrist says.
Wack job should be dead.  I didn't expect the officers at the scene to do it but society should have.  Lethal injection, electric chair, firing squad, beheading, or whatever.
RIP Tim McLean.
To the wack job that is walking our streets freely again, may you die a horrible, violent, and prolonged death.

BTW Walleyes,  I did catch a guy attempting to break into my house once while my wife and son were home.  It was a no brainer decision to tackle him as fast as I could and punch him in the face until unconscious.  I broke my right hand on his face.  I stopped then but when the guy woke up, my neighbor and buddy had to stop me from putting him out again.  The more time I had to think about it the more I was willing to hurt him.  I was seriously mad.
I have this one on video from my garage cam, boys.  Better than some pay per view mma knockouts I have seen.
I think I see a rip in the social fabric, Brother can you spare some ammo?

Axe Bravo, you done what any normal man would have done to protect his family. I'm not going to get into the 'chest pounding' here but I had a similar incident protecting my sister, and broke my hand on the SOB's head.
There are lots of crazy's out there and one thing I will say for sure is this Vince Li should NEVER be aloud to walk amongst us. You often here the psychiatrist say, oh, they will be normal as long as they take their meds. I personally know of a few skitso and bi-polars who hate taking their meds because of the side effects they cause. Then what?

Who's going to guarantee these guys will take their medications once released back into the public. They are a risk no matter what way you look at it and those who kill are a high risk to kill again simply for that reason. They need to be locked up and monitored at all times.... OMO

Just this week we were reminded again about how our justice system fails and sets very dangerous offenders free to kill.
That nut case here in Edmonton that killed and maimed on Friday at the Loblaw's warehouse:

"Pasieka was convicted of threatening to cause death or bodily harm and assault with a weapon over an incident in May 2009. He was sentenced two years later to 15 months probation.
In that incident Pasieka threw eggs at his neighbour's truck, set a heart-shaped fire on their street and brandished a compound bow and arrow.
Pasieka told police he did it in the name of the Queen. His father told court he had suffered a head injury three years earlier and since then takes a little longer to understand things."

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/edmonton/jayme-pasieka-edmonton-warehouse-stabbing-suspect-captured-1.2555762

Did the two years probation solve this guys problems and help prevent this multiple murder?  Nope.
Funny that Loblaw's management is now being questioned about their employee screening, but our justice system had their chance at it and failed.

Is the judge and the psychiatrist in the Vince Li case on the hook if he re-offends? Again, nope.

Like all faceless bureaucrats they are completely unaccountable, 100% no matter the situation.

That right there is a large part of why Canada is going to hell in a handbasket.
