We broke 200..
« on: May 21, 2011, 05:36:15 PM »
Well we aren't setting any records on our little site but its coming along steady.. We are now at just over 200 members and its just over 2 weeks isn't it ?? not bad.. Personally I don't care if we get huge I like the fact its a smaller community. If we get up around a couple thousand which we know will happen soon enough that will be good enough as far as I am concerned,, just to many wacko's when it gets to big..

Again I just have to say thanks to Paul for starting this site,, its just a super place to be..

Ya, no need to get too big here.  Last thing we need here is the crowd that must share every trivial detail about their daily lives, none of which has anything to do with hunting, fishing, or the outdoors.  One guy in particular on AO thought the entire world revolved around his life and needed to be the center of attention.  I think someone once told him to get a twitter account and he had a pout about it.  It would be better to keep it to a group of dedicated sportsman.  So far so good.
I think I see a rip in the social fabric, Brother can you spare some ammo?

AO has 20,000+ members but who knows how many guys have multiple names and how many are never used.  As far as active members i have no idea

Yeah, there's a lot of people who have created AO accounts that have never logged on since the account was created.  I have no proof of this, but word on the street is that at one point it was suggested that stale accounts that haven't been logged in to for a period of time (a year or whatever) be deleted, but the idea was squashed...
Just puttin' it out there...
