Whitecourt-anyone live/work there?
« on: April 17, 2017, 10:52:14 AM »
If anyone here has experience in the patch in that area I am just considering maybe contracting a pressure truck through a company there and looking for first hand impressions of the company and current work prospects there.
I have not been in the area since I was a pipeline Forman many years ago but liked the area.
They claim they are real busy which kind of surprised me.
P.m me if you would not mind please.

If you were a r.c.m.p member involved with high river you are a disgrace to the uniform and a traitor to the citizens of this country.

The west is definitely busier than most areas in the province. West of whitecourt and fox creek country is doing pretty good. G.P. Country is hopping as well.

Only thing I know about Whitecourt is that they have a killer Alien/Predator statue in the Canadian Tire store.. ;)
Plus they sell guns..

They also have a great Home hardware store.... Other than that...ho hum... :)

One thing I know about Whitecourt is your not gonna want to be speeding through town as it seems I get a radar ticket everytime through. :)

Company I work for has a shop in Fox Creek and does work all around to the south and north.  It seems in the past things were always busier than in central alberta as lots of our guys have ended up that way during slow downs.  Can't speak to current conditions but last I heard this winter guys were working on a big project so obviously some companies in the area aren't afraid to spend some dough and take advantage of the lower labour costs.
