Wild Storm.
« on: April 15, 2017, 06:25:17 PM »
The storm hit us hard here. Close to a foot of heavy wet snow, downed trees all over, power lines down. We were with out power for 29 hrs. Went out yesterday at 10:00 am and just got it back on at 3 this afternoon. We did all right, dug out the Honda gem set and some hunting gear, Camp Chef stove set it up in the garage. I have a water system in the shop with the tank up 8' so it gravity feeds not bad when the power is out, was able to fill 5 gallon pails and have water for essentials. Son and daughter in law with the grandkids were over for Easter so a little inconvenience, but the grandkids enjoyed it, it was like camping. Lots of nice trees down can't wait to get out for a walk and see what it looks like in the bush. Darn yard was just getting nice and dry and now this, yuck.

Wow and I was sitting here bitching about the snow we got. Glad to here you and yours are ok, no power for that long is hard on most people, but like most us country folk's you made it work. No power loss out my way just a wet old yard like you. Oh well you know the old saying " April snow storms, bring May snow storms and then June flowers" at least that's the Northern Alberta way. Stay dry. ;D
