Your right axe it's extremely annoying beyond imagine but what do you do that's just the world we live in. It's going to get worse yet we know that. I just make them pack the stuff up and leave it at the counter for me while I shop around. They want to pack it, go hard lol.

I couldn't imagine life without CT it's by far my favourite store, I go there almost daily when I'm home just cause lol.

My favorite store is Princess Auto.  Some hunting accessories there now. 
At least they are low on the bs inconvenience factor.
I still go to CT but I am usually pissed off by the time I leave, but that doesn't take much with me.

We are lucky out east here we have a few pretty decent sporting goods stores. St Paul, Loyd and like I stated Poachers Corner in Glendon that place is quite the little store. It's the old school type place packed full of stuff, small but they are well  stocked and the price is very reasonable on most items. On a lot of stuff they are cheaper than CT. It's one of those places when you have stuff up on the counter as the owners wife is ringing stuff in she's knocking a couple bucks off this and a few cents of the small items. If you have $100 or more on the counter you can expect at least 10% off off the top. And when it comes to guns he'll match the big boys any day. If any of you find yourselves out in that neck of the woods make a point to check it out you won't be dispointed. The wife and I love going there for their kids camo selection, bar none the best out there. WSS, Cabellas and Bass Pro combine wouldn't have the selection of kids camo they have and that's not an exaggeration.

Too bad. I remember going in there when they had just opened up on 97st was quite the place for the day and age. Damn Yanky stores, should have stayed home. If we had politicians that gave a damn maybe we could have put a 280% tariff on goods being sold at the Yanky stores lol, oh well.

Had to buy a refill lighter for my little MicroJet Lighter torch that I carry in my hunting backpack because the old one was leaking butane.
Well I was surprised Canuck Tire had the replacement lighter refill.
They had to get one of the 15 year kids that work there to carry it up to the till for me though.  Like really, it is a lighter.  How insulting...screw them.

Yeah like the 15 year old kid who had to carry my ammo to the till. I asked him if he had a PAL. He said no I told him then it's illegal for you to have ammo in your possession. Lol he looked at me like I had horns.

I remember the 97 Street WSS sports Terry. I remember dropping a 300 weatherby off there for gunsmith work. I remember how they wouldn't give it back to me because my temporary PAL had expired and the useless government never sent me the permanent one because they were such a cluster. I remember having to call the EPS chief firearms officer to get MY property back. That's many many.long years ago.and that was the last time I spent a dime there. And it's for things like that they are now closing their doors and although it's bad overall I honestly don't care because that's what they deserve for thier shitty management and lack of concern i am just surprised it took so long.

 Here in okotoks the ct has very limited gun and outdoor  related
  product . The very pleasant lady who puts out the stock is
  the only person with a pal so if she's off , no buyee guns etc.
  Fortunately maybe the best CT for all shooting related products
   is only 20 mins down the road ....Shaughnessy or Shawnessy.
   WSS has survived because UFA a public company has deep
    pockets .
        I think today the 28 th is the final day ....one of my best
       friends ,master fly fisher has worked for wss for over 20 years .
        He starts  at the Fishin Hole tomorrow ...it's just down the street
         from his house . Win Win .

Yeh, Okotoks has limited stuff.  High River abit better.  CT Southland has great selection. Old guy behind the counter at Southland told me they are getting reloading stuff in January
