I love my job and not many people can say that.Six days on and then six days off,woohoo.. ;D
The only bad part about it is that after so many years of bouncing around my back is shot, can lift anything heavy or I get a thunderbolt of pain in my lower back. :(
I just couldn't handle a 9-5 mon-fri kind of job,that would drive me nuts. ;)

Thank you.  i don't feel like I deserve any special thanks.  We all do our part to make the world go round. I love my job for the most part.  I enjoy helping when I can. I love the adrenalin kick.   I will admit some calls can screw with a guys brain for a while.  I understand what post traumatic stress is.  It is real and the brain will screw with you if you don't watch yourself.  Got to learn to leave it all behind and go home with clear thoughts if you can.  It is not too often you have to deal with things but it is there.  The positives are the drug of the job.  The down time sucks and thankfully we do more than just fight fires.  Most of our calls are medical calls.  We are usually there most of the time before an ambulance and get things started for the medics.  If I won the lotto tomorrow I still wouldn't quit.
