Just got my wild boar back from the butchers and i havent tried much of it just the bacon so far but it is a quarter inch thick and 2 inches wide and tastes damn good... its not salty at all and has a totally different texture than store bought...  i thought it was going to taste a bit more wild than it does but im impressed... pork chops for dinner tonight

JKC meats in hoadley did an amazing cut and wrap job... he will get my business again

I wish I could find a few of them wild pigs and I would park them in my freezer!!  I shot one at a farm years ago and made a couple hams and your right it is great stuff.  If I have some time next year I might try and find a couple

I bet they are good wildmeat.. How are they for fat content probly a lot leaner than domestic pork ??

yeah they are alot leaner... i actually had to add a bit of oil when i cooked the bacon... it has a quite unique taste as well... if i could get boar all year round i wouldnt ever buy pork again...

i had some chops tonight and they were just a touch tough but not so bad i couldnt chew it but the taste is just way better hands down
