So a buddy phones me last night asked if i want to go to Queen Charlotte's for some Salmon and Halibut tomorrow all expense paid because another guy backed out, i said yeah no problem text the boss told him i'm not coming to work this week. My buddy phoned me this morning and said i can't go now because the guy that dropped out found someone else to take his spot.

So F'n pissed off, i deleted the #$%@sucker off Facebook.

Sounds like a case of poor communication to me.

From the outside looking in, the guy who had to back out did the right thing by finding a replacement for himself on the trip.  It sounds like buddy may have jumped the gun on inviting you along?  He probably wound up in a sticky spot when other buddy found his replacement. 

Either way I guess it sucks though 

That sucks!  But on the up side you will get a lot more sleep without that 5 AM wakeup call and late night drinking.   Like Geezle says, I believe your buddy jumped the gun and offered a trip that he shouldnt have.  Definitely a dick move.
