How big is it?
« on: October 30, 2021, 12:41:18 PM »
Last summer we went for a fishing trip to Lake Iosegun up by Fox creek. Now this lake is not known or big jackfish but it has a lot of small walleye.

Anyway my Bro in Law caught this big pike. We had no scale but it was 42.5 inches long and felt good and solid. I guessed it to be 16lbs but now I'm thinking it went heavier.

So, what would you guys guess as to how heavy it was?

Hi Sonny:

I will say 20-25 pounds.  She looks a little on the skinny side.

What say you Walleyes and fellow members?

I think the first estimate sounds pretty close. I don’t think it would go 20. 16-18 pounds would be my guess.

Takes a big pike to make 20 pounds, these two are 20 and 22 pounds. You can see the difference  in length ans head size alone.
