Ice Conditions Nov 2019
« on: November 13, 2019, 12:52:08 AM »
One of the guys was out to a local trout pond here in east central. About 30-40 yards out 3" good ice. Not much snow here so should keep freezing pretty good, although I did get the sleds out for a little rip. Still got some deer hunting to do but should be on the ice (walk on) by the first week in December.

Talked to a fishing buddy again today, 5" on one of the local trout lakes..........and guys are fishing. Not to suggest that "lakes" are safe to fish. The lakes I am talking about are more ponds, protected all around by hills and trees and usually about a 1/2 mile by maybe a mile or so. Most drop off very quickly from shore in lots of areas, so you only need to go out about 60 feet and you are in 20 fow.
