...lures that is.

What would you choose?

I'd go for a 1/4 oz jig with a yellow twistertail.

A 3/4 oz lil cleo in silver and blue..

A Rapala 5 3/4 inch Husky Jerk in green firetiger..

And you??

It's probably been close to 40 years since I used hardware to fish with but if memory is correct I caught a lot of fish on;
Mepps 0 spinners
Len Thompson #8 red&white spoons
Size 10 snelled hook & split shot with a garden hackle.

i'd second the motion for the 1/4oz jig with yellow twister tail,
2" brass color kastmaster,
1" silver swedish pimple
Never met a fish I didn't like!!

oops my bad....I forgot about the split shot and hook combo.. :-[

We used to put a big old dew worm on a hook(with barbs) and let it drift down into pools on the MeCloud river.

Man o man those big Bull trout put up a good fight. To bad they tasted like wet sawdust..

But the same method worked good for rainbows too.. ;)

I would agree with the yellow Mr.Twister  and jig.
but would have a big old green woolly bugger for the big trout.
last but not least would be the hook and split shot combo, but with a twist.  Add a slip bobber. Good for all species.

1.  #6 owner egg hook, with some sort of bait on it.
2. Pheasant tail nymph, size 12.
3. White curly tail jig. 1/4 oz.

I've been thinking of an answer for this question for awhile.

I always liked the "muddler minnow" for an all around fly as I can fish it wet or dry and it works well for any trout.

A twister tail type rubber jig is a pretty good all around pike/walleye lure.

I was going to choose a spoon of some sort for #3 but got to thinking about ice fishing and I like a swedish jig for an all around ice fishing lure.

However a "pickerel rig" with worm for bait is something that (when legal) can be used anywhere, anytime for any fish.
