Lesser Slave River June 11, 11
« on: June 12, 2011, 10:45:34 AM »
Axeman and I went on fishing trip in northern Alberta. We ended the day at lesser slave river and had a lot of fun catching wallys there. We also stopped at Fawcett to catch some hammer handles.

It is unbelievable how many walleyes are stacked in that river right now.  It's the closest thing your going to get to catching fish in a barrel.  Simple as cast out, wait till jig with leetch settles on bottom, count 123, tap tap, set hook, and walleye on.  Repeat as required until 50+ cm fish is caught.   There is a lot of water rolling out of that lake now.

Looking forward to the feed of walleye fillets.  :)

BTW, it looks like the clean up in Slave Lake has begun now.
I think I see a rip in the social fabric, Brother can you spare some ammo?

Nice fish!  I will be at Faust in just over a week, so the fish over there are going to have to look out.
