My Big Rainbow Trout - Sorry BC
« on: August 12, 2014, 11:09:11 PM »

Kalamalka lake over the past couple of years has been known to give up some Big Kokanee. While trolling for them I had a big Rainbow Trout take the lure. This Monster is my personal best rainbow trout to date and was caught trolling on a down rigger at 50 feet. It was a very hot afternoon and he faught to the death, leaping and jumping right out of the water in the near 80 degree water did him in. Sadly was not able to release this big rainbow trout after trying for a long time.

Now that's a Rainbow Trout Selfie

Nice one Brandon, did you weigh it?

It was 27 inches 12.5 inch girth and only 6.4 pounds.  Just a bullet, no girth to him.  No these are rainbows not steelhead but he looks like a steelhead.

Just the same Brandon that's a nice looking bow and she'll taste pretty darn good out of the frying pan. Keep up the good work, love your video's and excitement you bring to them.
