Who’s been out.
« on: May 31, 2021, 07:55:18 AM »
Slow start to the summer season for myself. I’ve only been out once so far and that was just a bit of a test run. Wife and I went out on the big lake for a couple hours but it was so windy and cold we just goofed around more than anything for few hours then came back in. Hope to get out more this week.

Hi Walleyes:

When did the ice move out this year?

Must have been some nice winds.

Has turnover occurred yet?

Has the spring "crowd" hit town yet.

Thanks.

Ice has been out for a little over 3 weeks now. Lake looked pretty clean the other day I would have to say it has rolled over. Launch wasn’t all that busy for a Sat but a few boats. Hope to get out again tomorrow, if the darn wind holds, man it’s been bad.

Been out a 3 times over the last week. Twice for Walleye on a couple smaller lakes, Marie and Bourque. Marie is producing well with some hogs caught. Caught a dandy 63cm eye last week. The usual jigs minnows are producing but they were really liking a fast trolled minnow rap. Bourque is a little slower not sure why but still able to out some in the boat. Also hit the big lake for some laker action and did well. Again a little on the slow side but things will pick up over the coming weeks. I was surprised how deep. With 75’ producing the best results. Various spoons doin ok but anchovies doing the best.
