Anyone shoot a 6.5 Creedmoor?
« on: December 30, 2021, 05:32:13 PM »
I always thought the 6.5 Creedmoor was a girlie gun but here I went and bought one today.

Nothing fancy just a Winchester XPR that home hardware had on sale. I must admit that it feels good in the hands and by all the write ups I've read about these it should be a helluva good deer rifle.

I report back later when it warms up and am able to get some range time with this "girlie" gun.  ;D

Nothing girly about a 6.5 creed sonny, they are fast becoming the gun of choice for long range shooters. I’ve put up a couple posts over the last while of my middle boys accomplishments in the long range shooting world. This past summer he took 1st place in a very prestigious shoot with his heavily customized 6.5.

Hey Sonny.  I emailed your gun club wishing the membership a Happy New Years.  :)

I also asked if they could plow out a site for you to test out how your new puppy barks. Nothing makes me more bummed out that having to wait to try out a new gun. ;D

Walleyes: That son of yours is amazing. He has to have nerves of friggin steel for his discipline of target shooting.
And to be on top of his game. Whoa!!

Happy New Years everyone.  I sure hope it is better than the last two.

He’s a full blown self loader Sonny, it’s a science to him. You should see to what lengths those guys do things at. I can maybe ask him what bullet weights he shoots and powder he uses but if I had to guess that may even change depending on conditions.

Give me a couple days and I’m sure him and I will be chatting and I’ll ask him some details.

I am not a marksman by any means but damn three shots at 100 yards covered by a dime is good ammo in my books. ;)
