Barnes vor-tx
« on: November 16, 2017, 09:02:42 PM »
So I let my ammo supply dwindle to next to nothing and didn't have time to start reloading new rounds.  I had picked out Barnes ttsx bullets as a new culprit and decided to grab some factory vor-tx rounds for mamas 7mm-08 and my 25-06.  On the initial sight in they have seemed more than adequate in the accuracy department.
One thing that strikes me though is they seem to have a crimp from factory.  I've never crimped any re loads with the understanding that it isn't needed in most cases.  Any insight as to why these are crimped or crimping in general?  It's been a while since I bought factory loaded ammo but I don't recall any of them being crimped either.
