I will go to that one in Stoney Plain.

Usually the best gun show in the Edmonton area is the Spring event.

Given the current economy I will be looking for some closet queens that might have to be sold for obvious reasons.

Happy Shopping.  :)

Well I need a 1876 a 1895 and a 1866. So hoping some are cleaning out the safe's. Only because they want to, not because they have to. Nobody should HAVE TO sell a gun.

That's a wicked list and good luck with your quest..lol  ;)

My search is a little less complicated..

m38 swede

m96 swede pre 1900

other than that I'm just looking for good deals on what I find..(Marlin 336 -30-30) lol

Or whatever...gunshows are fun.. ;D

Yep, this quest has been going on for years. I hope I never get to a point I no longer have one. I don't think I'll live long enough for that to happen  :). Good luck with yours sonny, I think we are very fortunate to be able to get to a point in life to do this kind of thing. I  try to keep in mind that some right now, are not able to, and hope things turn around for them soon.

Well I had a good time at the Stoney Plain gun show but as with all gun shows it was busy busy busy..

I'd say about 90% of the guns were over priced with some CRAZY over priced like a SKS for $350,a well used Marlin 336 .30-.30 for $550,a Ruger mini 14 for $1500...really?  ::)

However I did find a couple good deals.Like a brand new in box Mossberg 500 pump 12 gauge in camo pattern for only $299 and no tax...sweet. :)

Also picked up a German K98 Mauser made at the BNZ (Steyr Daimler) factory in 1942...Buddy was asking $700 but I got him down to $630,not a super good deal but most places online want $695 plus tax so I'm happy with it.

I tried making a deal on a Lee Enfield jungle carbine but buddy wouldn't budge from his $695 price tag.Oh well there will be more gun shows to go to...  ;D

Sweet guns Sonny,, good on yah.

The show in Boniville was OK today, mostly new stuff as far as guns go. Some older stuff but not a lot. No good deals that's for sure. I picked up a couple boxes of shells for the boys Big Boy that weren't to bad priced and a couple pairs of military surplus long leather mitts and liners to throw in the quad box, couldn't go wrong at $10 a pair with wool liners and leathers.

Thought of you looking at these today Sonny.

Average price for a Mosin and crate of ammo but I call bullshit on it shooting 1 inch high at 100 yards..lol
Most if not all Mosin 91/30 rifles shoot anywhere from 10 to 14 inches high at 100 yards.

Second add is a good price if you get both rifles for $500 but if buddy wants $500 each then I'd walk.. ;)

But you know how it is.....there's a sucker born every minute.. 8)
