Laminate SKS
« on: December 05, 2015, 04:37:42 PM »
I've been wanting one for awhile now but just haven't seen one with really nice wood until today.

This one has beautiful wood and isn't scratched all to hell. All numbers match except the magazine even the stock has original numbers with no big X's stamped on the stock.
Went to the range and at first it was shooting way high and to the right.Played around with the sight tool and got it shooting pretty good.
I have a pic of a three inch group on my phone and I'll see if I can post it here.

Anyway It's a pretty rifle and I'm happy with it.. :)

Oh btw if any of you guys are thinking about getting a SKS I'd do it soon because Trudope is going to come after them and you know I'm right. :(

So you got the ammo yesterday and it is already 1/2 gone? I spent the day talking to our MLA and in the dog house reloading.

I need to go to the left a bit but a 3 inch group at 100 yards is not bad with a SKS..

My other two shoot 4-5 inch groups.

I'm happy with this one.. 8)

Is that a Tula sonny? I have a laminated Izhevsk, rarest SKS Russian model. Just as new. Hand picked by me. They were only made for 2 years. 1954 and 1955.

That's a nice one and yes mine is a Tula, the same with my 1951 and 1954 sks rifles.

I think I'll keep my eyes peeled for a nice Chinese sks with the spike bayonet, that would be cool to have in the gun safe. ;)

You might change your mind once ya have it in your hands. Ain't like the Russian ones. Sold mine. No regrets.

Think the stock was made from bamboo. LOL
