Are you shooting that monster unbraked?  Wowzers. I do not know of anyone up there.  I will check with a freind up there as he is as nutz as I am.  The best gunsmith I have ever seen is Henery rempel in calgary.  That is who does all of mine.  I will let you know ASAP.

yep... she bucks pretty good... it doesnt bother me much tho i kinda like recoil for some strange reason... the anticipation the adrenalin and then the surprise when she barks... i bought one of them recoil reducing butt pads but i didnt really like the way it felt...  and if someone could recommend a good smith in the edmonton area i would be much obliged

I am one that got knocked between the eyes and do not card for recoil.  If they buck lik that rum does I do not shoot worth a crap. That is why mine got a brake. Only crappy part is I walk around with earmuffs as I like my hearing.

yeah i hear ya... for target shooting i wouldnt mind having a break on it but when i have a bead on an animal or whatnot i dont even notice the recoil... i want to look into getting one installed just so it is a little more fun to shoot... there is no way a guy could put a whole box of shells through it in one day

Ive been getting into it more and more. Having a good time smashing steel at 8-900 yards but after watching the video "the art of the precision rifle" I think soon will be the time to try and push out to 1200 yards plus. If you havnt seen that video you should they really simplify things. They shoot out to a mile with 308s and are hitting a 16 inch plate it was pretty bad ass.
Sorry I don't ice fish or hunt rabbits, but I did stay at a Holliday in express last night.
