Range brass
« on: February 20, 2016, 08:52:46 PM »
Often I read about people recovering free brass at the range and wonder if I am missing out. If I see someone who is pulling it out of a box and hucking it for sure I would take it. If its dirty and on the ground or laying there how do we know how many times its been loaded? When my brass is getting on in life and its time to huck it in the garbage I make sure Its my garbage so someone does not get old dangerous stuff. It's also the reason I don't buy used brass on line either..... Makes me wonder when people post all these odd amounts of brass in many different calibers for sale? Reloading saves a pile of money but I think range brass is crossing the line when we are trying to save a dollar.....What do you people think? Brass certainly is not cheap....

Yah you wouldn't catch me trusting some old brass.

Not that I am a reloader but the points you bring up make sense lad.

Haha. I just sold a bunch of once fired brass and yes it came with the original boxes.Still have some .303 and 6.5 left but it seems like a shame to throw it away.I should reload but don't really have the room..

Ya, I can relate;  wives generally don't think much of having a press bolted to the kitchen counter.   ;D
