Beetle jig

Having looked at the stomach contents of many trout, I am aware that beetles are a favourite food item. So I am always looking for a beetle like lure to "match the hatch" so to speak.
So I hot glued a small lead-head jig to a coffee bean.
Now if I could get onto one of the trout stocked lakes to try it out.

Looks good,, just as long as the smell of the bean doesn't repel them,, who knows it may lure them,, be fun finding out.

Hey Duff, you might be onto something there. If you get to try it out let us know how it works.
