Going Back in Time - Honda Trikes
« on: June 01, 2014, 12:15:11 PM »
I found a deal that I couldn't pass up on a new toy.  Friend was selling his old 1985 Honda Trike 250SX.  It is in absolutely mint shape and I got it for $500 bucks.  So this weekend, I had to go for a ride with my buddy Jesse.  He had picked an old trike too not long ago.  So we put the quads away and jumped on the Honda's and away we went.  What a blast from the past.  I used to ride these things back in the 80's when they were the only option in ATV's.  That is what we used even for hunting back then and modified VW bush buggies.

We took a ride up to the very top of Shiningbank and took in the great view.  We took some fairly wet and sketchy trails back and got stuck a few times.  Those Honda Trikes are so light that getting stuck is no big deal.  Jump off and push them out for the most part.  Good times!

Right on,, good score boys. Yup those were some solid machines,,when it comes to wet bogs they are still king, they are so light and all tires they stay on top. Would be a lot less mess in the back country if that is all we still had.

Good stuff thx for puttin it up axe.

I had a 110 Honda bubble tire trike it had about 5 PSI in the tires almost no terrain damage was done with it.  Good machines I was a real trickster on 2 wheels.

Ha ha, right on!  We had a beer too.  Did you notice that moose antler shed someone stuck way up high in that spruce tree growing out of the bank.  Pretty gutsy to climb up there.

I grew up going between riding my horse and riding my trike. Loved them!

Loved visiting my friend who lived at a farm where they had two trikes we could share - we had so much fun riding together. The deal seems nice I guess.
