That's a great concept actually and the blades are cheap.

Halford's carries them, you can order them online. They're $30-40 and I think the blades are about $10 for twenty. Another option is to pick up a couple of the small utility knives with the snap off blades (3/4" wide), they work alright for skinning and they're only a couple bucks.

I picked up a Havilon knife partway through last season, with 100 spare blades. I didn't end up using it at all, but it does make a nice light and VERY sharp backup knife!! :D

We work with Havalon knives on our show and they are great. We used them to skin out 5 bears this spring and we just replaced the blade on my piranta. They are a great value for the doller and the blades are cheap to buy. Perfect for capping and skinning.

Definatly a great tool. Allot easier than trying to keep a knife sharp. I personaly like a good quality caper better  but for most the Havalon and other such knives are working very very well. Definatly would recomend them to anyone doing much caping.

I have one, and I like it a lot.  It's a bonus that it's orange, so if I put it down I can quickly find it.  It's nice at the first hint of dullness to just snap another blade in and keep on going.
