Looks like a decent pack Nube. I'll look forward to seeing how it works for double the price of my eberlestock.

Why did I bother with my 2 cents worth????  Really?? You just want to throw another jab out there again eh Darcy.   Just reminds me again of why I don't post much on here anymore.  I think I will go back to to doing that again.  You got to make everything a competition don't you?

I guess Nube! I'm actually curious how it works as I'm looking for another pack and im wondering and have been researching alor of packs but before I'll buy one for high end dollars like your going to spend on that pack I'll want to see some first hand reviews by guys I know. Very little local reports on Kifaru. So ya it is a competition between packs!!!! So maybe get over yourself a little!

I have narrowed it down to the Timberline XTL top Kifaru and will order it in the next week or 2
http://www.kifaru.net/timberline.html
Light weight pack and all the pockets I need.
I found the eberlstock too heavy and I am not fond of the rifle holder.
I liked the Mystery ranch as well but I like the Timberline the best.

I'd like to actually get all the packs together and do a comparison with them all. Unfortunately I am not sure how a guy would go about doing that without $5000 in extra cash....... But I wouldn't mind getting together with some of the members here for a comparison.....Say near their favorite sheep spot  :o 8)

So I was able to have a quick look at my new pack, at first glance it looks real nice. Didn't bring it back to work with me tho so I didn't get a chance to test it out or do a real thorough inspection on it. It sure is nice and light tho.... Frame seems nice and rigid, seams looked good, the extras I bought also look nice. I was actually surpirsed the spotting scope pocket has a hard light plastic back on it to hold the shape when you tighten the compression straps.

I will try and do a full break down on the pack when I get off for break up...... Hopefully in a couple weeks.........

Sounds good. If I'm healed up by sheep season we will have to get out for a few days.

I agree, I'm looking forward to getting into the big country again, smell the fresh air, not listen to the pipe clanging into the elevators.........
