How many of you have spent good money on a state of the art gortex jacket only to find the plastic zipper starts letting loose in less than a year. I remember way back when mom would buy us a new winter jacket and it was expected to last a few years and younger brother might get it with a steel zipper that lasted forever.
The only hint of have heard is to wax your zippers when you get a new jacket and the plastic zippers will last longer.  Anyone else have any suggestions?
