a couple pics to light the fire...
« on: August 05, 2011, 01:45:54 PM »
the elk are from suffield and the whiteys are from a place within an hour of medicine hat.  i havent hunted there for more than a decade, but i may be taking robin there for archery this year.  its hard to imagine, but i saw more than 10 bucks that would break 150....a few of them were over 160 and one would break 170.  of course the biggest bucks make their appearance real close to dark so the pics are a little grainy, but i think crappy pics are better than no pics.  enjoy...

Southern Alberta isn't traditionally known as big whitetail country nice to see such quality bucks being produced there.

Nice pics Dale.  Did you get any of the 160's and the 170?

Great pics Dale!!

Hunting season is sure just around the corner!!  Fine tuning my goat hunting stuff in BC and then will be looking forward to a sheep hunt in AB and some whitetails in Nov.  I've gotta find somewhere I can sneak north to for a few days in early November for a deer and then need to start the planning on Sask permission and scouting sometime this fall early as well!

Man she's getting close.  Seeing guys knock over Stones in BC gets a guy fired up!!

none that turned out legible.  the biggest bucks....like they always do....are coming out right on the edge of darkness.  im working on getting some trail cams to get set up.  i think if i get em back on the trails coming out to the fields i should be able to get some photo evidence.....maybe....

No need for evidence to prove anything.  Just need to see some pics of some pig deer to get the fire rolling.   ;D  All I have on my brain right now is sheep.  BAAAAAA BAAAAAAAAAAA

Ya that's for sure.  For me it's been 6 months I'm a resident of BC today and I'll go transfer my hunting license.  Then I'm leaving for the mountains to scout the access up to where I want to start my hunt in two weeks.  In the event a sheep is suicidal my boom stick will be ready for him. 8)

Good luck on your gun hunt.
Shoot straight or eat track soup.

I just showed these pics to two of my coworkers that are up from Texas...There was silence for a few seconds followed by "oh my God, you all have giant animals up here."
Treat each day as your last; one day you will be right.
